Day 1: Chennai Arrival

  • Arrive in Chennai, upon your arrival you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Take rest after your journey. If you have time, explore the vibrant markets of George Town and Parry’s Corner. Experience local life and indulge in some street food.

Day 2: Chennai Sightseeing

  • Start your day with a visit to Marina Beach. Explore the Lighthouse for a panoramic view of the city. Head to DakshinaChitra, a living museum of art, architecture, crafts, and performing arts of South India. Later, visit the Egmore Museum, which houses an impressive collection of archaeological and numismatic artifacts. Spend your evening shopping in the bustling T. Nagar area, known for its diverse shopping options.

Day 3: Chennai to Puducherry via Mahabalipuram

  • Visit Mahabalipuram’s UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient rock-cut temples and sculptures.
  • Continue to Puducherry and check into your hotel.

Day 4: Pondicherry Full Day with Auroville

  • Start your day with Auroville. Explore Auroville’s iconic Matrimandir, an architectural masterpiece and a symbol of human unity. Day 6: Puducherry to Thanjavur

  • After hotel check-in and lunch head to the iconic Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of the most significant and ancient temples in India. Explore the intricate architecture and vibrant surroundings. Afterwards, Visit Thirumalai Nayak Palace, known for its Indo-Saracenic architecture. Explore the grand halls and beautiful courtyards. Return to Meenakshi Amman Temple to witness the evening prayer ceremony. The temple comes to life with lights, music, and a sacred atmosphere during this time.

Day 8: Madurai to Periyar National Park

  • Begin your journey from Madurai to Periyar National Park. The travel time is approximately 3-4 hours, so plan accordingly. Enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside.
  • Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to explore the local surroundings or attend a cultural show if available.

Day 9: Safari in Periyar National Park

  • Embark on a morning safari in Periyar National Park to witness the wildlife and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Engage in various activities offered at Periyar National Park, such as a boat ride on Periyar Lake, guided nature walks, or a visit to the spice plantations.
  • Spend the afternoon at leisure. You may choose to relax, explore more of the park, or participate in additional activities.

Day 10: Relax in Varkala

  • Check-out from your accommodation in Periyar and travel to Varkala. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours. Check into your accommodation in Varkala and h ead to Varkala Cliff to witness a breathtaking sunset over the Arabian Sea. Explore the shops and cafes along the cliff. Have dinner at one of the beachside restaurants, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere.

Day 11: Activities in Varkala

  • Start your day with beachside yoga or meditation. Many places in Varkala offer early morning sessions. Spend the morning relaxing on Varkala Beach, taking a swim, or enjoying water activities.

Day 16: Kochi exploration

  • Begin your day by exploring the Dutch Palace, also known as Mattancherry Palace. Admire the historic murals that depict scenes from the Ramayana. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, one of the oldest in the Commonwealth. Stroll through Jew Town, known for its antique shops and vibrant atmosphere. Explore the charming streets of Fort Kochi, and visit St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. Witness the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets along the shore. If interested in maritime history, visit the Maritime Museum. Head to Fort Kochi Beach to enjoy the sunset. The beach provides a serene atmosphere to unwind.

Day 17: Airport Drop
